Static Peak Divide is nearly snow free. There is one short section of low angle snow that can be avoided. Buck Mtn Pass is still holding a short steep section of snow that some travelers will want sharps for.

Static Peak Divide is still 100% snow covered with multiple extended sections of steep, exposed snow travel required for passage. An un-arrested fall in any of these sections would result in serious injury or death. Mountaineering crampons, an ice axe, knowledge of how to use them with experience traveling on steep snow are REQUIRED for safe travel in this area. "Micro spikes" or "hiking crampons" are not appropriate equipment for this route.
